Since July 2022, Indiana lets adults 18 and older who are not prohibited carry a handgun without a license. The optional Indiana license to carry a handgun is issued by the Indiana State Police. You apply online and are fingerprinted, and the license remains useful for reciprocity with other states. Schools, some government buildings and posted private property remain off limits, so check the rules where you go.
